Wizard of Oz Theatre Camp

June 29 – July 2, 1pm – 4pm (Camp will not meet on July 3)

Join Dorothy, Lion, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Toto in this thirty-minute mini-musical adaptation of the famous tale. Campers will audition for roles, learn songs, dances and lines, create simple sets and take part in rehearsals, theater games and creative exercises as they prepare to present the show at the end of camp. Everyone who registers gets a role.
Performance will be on Friday, July 10, at 6pm.

Exploring Cinderella Dance Camp

9am – 12pm
Students will learn age-appropriate ballet and tap techniques while exploring the story, music and costumes of Cinderella and Swan Lake. The week will culminate with an informal demonstration for parents on Friday. Students should bring a water bottle and a healthy snack (no nut products) with them.

Garden Art

This crafty camp inspires the young artist to think outside and create beautiful items for outdoor spaces such as garden poles, stepping-stones and wind chimes.

Percussion Camp

This camp covers the basic percussion fundamentals of rhythm reading, steady pulse and chamber music through the use of hand drums and other percussion instruments.

Imagination Factory II

Explore the intersection of art and imagination through painting, drawing, mixed media, crafts and ceramics.

Dance Technique Mini Intensive

1pm – 4pm
This camp features classes in age-appropriate ballet and classical variations, jazz, and tap. The week will culminate with an informal demonstration for parents on Friday. Students should bring a water bottle and a healthy snack (no nut products).

To participate in this camp, the center requires minimum training of one year in Classical Ballet (for example: the student has completed one year of Classical Ballet I). This program is not for beginners.

Explore the possibilities of this flexible medium as we roll clay slabs, pinch, coil and throw, before glazing and firing our creations. An exhibition for family and friends will conclude this camp.

Youth Choir Camp

Chef Junior Pastry Camp

Think Big:  Introduction to Installation Art

Princess Dance Camp

Jungle Book Theatre Camp

9am – 3pm
Specially adapted from the classic Disney animated film, The Jungle Book KIDS features a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs from the movie. Banished by the tiger, Shere Khan, a boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swinging musical rhythms of the jungle.
Performance for camp will be on Saturday, July 18, at 6pm, with a dress rehearsal at 10am on the same day.

Let’s Get Cookin’ Camp

This unique camp features the owners of FX, etc., makeup effects school in Carrollton. Dance Technique: Intensive

Dance for Musical Theatre

Birmingham-based musical theatre performer and choreographer, Darby Burgess, will work with participants on how to prepare their body and mind for dance. Participants will receive training for auditions for jobs in musical theatre.
