The Carroll Symphony Orchestra provides instruction in brass, woodwinds, strings and percussion by professional teachers who actively perform with orchestras throughout the Southeast. Carrollton Young Singers

Thursdays, January 14 – May 3
4 – 5pm

Learn basic music terminology, how to sight-read, breath control, harmonization, stage presence and have potential opportunities to solo. Singers will showcase their skills at a spring concert, May 3, 2021, at 7pm.

Carrollton Youth Chorus

5:15 – 6:15pm

Students in the Youth Chorus will participate in public performances, learn music terminology, ear training, sight-reading and explore a variety of genres and styles of singing.  Spring Concert will be May 3, 2021, at 7pm.

Group Guitar Lessons By Ear

Tuesdays, January 12 – May 11
6pm – 7pm

For people that do not read music but have always wanted to play the guitar. Musicians will learn single-note soloing and chording. Some guitars are provided.
Ages: 13+

Drumming

Wednesdays, January 13 – April 28
6:30pm – 7:30pm

West African drumming techniques, rhythms and culture will be introduced. Beginners and more experienced drummers are welcome. Drums are provided by the Center for the Arts, but those students who own a drum are encouraged to bring their own. The class will culminate with a public performance.
Ages: 13+

Carroll County Community Chorus

The Carroll County Community Chorus was organized in the fall of 1979. The chorus is open to anyone at least 18 years old that loves to sing. The group presents two concerts a year and interested singers can join at the beginning of each season. Chorus conductor is Jack Gantt and accompanist is Jan Adams. No auditions are required to join. Performance Dates: Dec 11 (7:30pm) & Dec 12 (4pm & 7:30pm). You must join by September 28 to be in the holiday concert, Christmas in Carrollton.
