Realistic Drawing Class

Mondays (Will not meet Sept. 2, Nov. 11, Nov 25)
5:30pm – 7pm

Learn shape, line, value and texture in drawing using charcoal and graphite. A supply list will be provided on your registration receipt.
Ages: 16+

Acrylics Class

Wednesdays
10am – 12pm

The class will cover painting landscapes, portraits, seascapes, still life and architecture using palette knives, brushes, and paper towels in the acrylic medium. A supply list will be provided on your registration receipt.

Beginner/Advanced Watercolor Portraits

Saturdays (Will not meet Nov. 16, Nov 30)
1pm – 3pm

Artists will learn the medium of watercolor (no experience required). More skilled artists in the class will work on projects that are self-driven with verbal critiques and tutoring provided by the instructor.  A supply list will be provided on your registration receipt.
Ages: 18+

Morning Pottery Class

Fridays, August 23 – December 13 (Will not meet Oct. 11, Nov 29)
9am – 11am

Students learn to design and make pottery and ceramic sculpture using techniques such as slab construction, coiling and pinching. Form and surface, glazing techniques, wedging and throwing basic forms on a potter’s wheel will also be covered. A list of required tools will be included on your registration receipt.

Clay Class

Tuesdays, August 20 – December 10 (Will not meet Oct. 8, Nov 26)
4pm – 5:30pm

This introduction to the fundamentals of sculpting with clay will introduce hand-building techniques such as coiling, slabbing, pinching, as well as wheel throwing. All materials are provided within price.
Ages: 8-12
Class Size: Up to 10 artists

Creative Constructs

Fridays, August 23 – December 13 (Will not meet Oct. 11, Nov 29)
4pm – 5:30pm

An in-depth look into art history using clay, drawing and other color media to express and appreciate pivotal moments in art. All materials are provided.
Ages: 8-12
Class Size: Up to 15 artists

Workshops

Bring on the Baking!

Saturday, September 14, October 5 & November 9
12pm – 2pm

Work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructor. You’ll leave the class with recipes and the knowledge to recreate them at home. 
Ages: 18+
Class Size: Minimum 6 / Maximum 12

Registration is required in advance so that needed supplies can be ordered.

Make A Dish Workshop

Saturday, September 14
10am – 1pm

In this class you will learn how to cut glass, setup a design and prepare it for firing. All materials and tools are included. Glass experience not needed. Must be able to grip and handle a cutting tool, similar to handling a small hammer. Please wear closed-toe shoes.
Ages: 18+
Instructor: Elizabeth Mobley

Glass will need to be fired twice and will be ready for pick up the following week.

Bling It On Jewelry Making Workshop

Saturday, September 14, 21 & 28
2pm – 5pm

Work fused glass to create jewelry. All levels are welcomed. No experience needed. All tools and materials are included. Please wear closed-toe shoes.

Floral designer, Greg Hendrix, with Mountain Oak Florist, will share new trends in table design for the holidays.

The World of Color Workshop

Interactive exercises will teach the vocabulary of color, color relationships and the importance of using neutral color in your creative projects.
