

Our dance program offers a variety of classes for all ages, experience levels and genres of dance, including ballet, jazz, tap and musical theatre. All classes are taught by highly qualified and experienced instructors. This semester our dance program is doing a story book dance performance of Alice in Wonderland. All of our dancers will get an opportunity to play a part in this production. Our dance Instructor, Shawn Megorden, is director of the performance which will be May 14. More details will be provided closer to performance dates. Performance fee for Alice in Wonderland is $50 per dancer.
Classes begin the week of January 10 – 15, 2022.
Note: Adult classes are geared towards the beginner with modifications given to those with more experience. While registration is encouraged, we do offer a drop-in rate for those unable to attend every week.

Classical Ballet
Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. It provides grace and poise while helping dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline and self-confidence. For the safety of the student, class placement is based on where the student will benefit the most due to their technical ability, not by age.

Clogging Classes
Settlers in the American South combined elements of folk dances of the British Isles, Africa and pre-Columbian America to form this unique dance style. This is the fourth year that Peggy’s School of Dance has offered clogging at the Center for the Arts.
Clogging classes will begin on January 12 and run through May 11. Private and semi-private lessons can be coordinated with the instructor. The Spring Showcase will be May 14 at 7pm.
