

Our dance program offers a variety of classes for all ages, experience levels and genres of dance, including ballet, jazz, tap and musical theatre. All classes are taught by highly qualified and experienced instructors.
This semester our dance program is preparing for our spring showcase, Once Upon a Time. All of our dancers will get an opportunity to play a part in our showcase.
Winter Semester classes begin the week of January 9 – 14, 2023.
Note: Adult classes are geared towards the beginner with modifications given to those with more experience. While registration is encouraged, we do offer a drop-in rate for those unable to attend every week.
Ballet Classes
Adult Ballet
Mondays & Saturdays / 7:30 – 8:30pm (Mondays); 9:30 – 10:45am (Saturdays)
Adult Ballet helps participants strengthen and tone the body and increase flexibility, balance and coordination.

Progressive Ballet Technique

Build muscles for dance and overall well-being. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat. Instructor will share other devices needed.

Pre-Ballet and Tap (Combined)
Classes that awaken a child to music and dance, coordination and spatial/motor skills and introduce basic classical ballet positions. Tap is also introduced. Ballet and tap shoes are required.

Classical Ballet
Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. It provides grace and poise while helping dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self-discipline and self-confidence. For the safety of the student, class placement is based on where the student will benefit the most due to their technical ability, not by age.
Unless otherwise noted, all ballet classes have a maximum class size of 12.
Ballet I

Level III & IV dancers may be eligible for Pre- Pointe or Pointe class. Pre-Pointe is a supplemental class that increases the strength of the calf muscles and ankles needed for dancing on pointe. To register for Pre-Pointe or Pointe, students must receive a recommendation from their ballet instructor.

Ballet Beginners for Teens
Fridays / 4 – 5:15pm
Skill training for late comers interested in the art of ballet. This class can also help students that started but had to stop their training to catch up and polish their skills.

Pre–Pointe

Strengthen and develop the leg and foot muscles necessary to advance to Pointe. Students must receive a recommendation from the Ballet Coordinator to qualify. Taking Pre-Pointe does not guarantee advancement into Pointe.

An exploration of theatre dance that developed after classical ballet, including modern dance (early 1900s) and contemporary dance (more currently developing genre).

This class uses blocking, singing and dancing to create a Broadway-style experience. Students will rehearse basic dance and vocal techniques and harmonization.
